New Weekly Tour!

We’re excited to announce a new tour! Every Tuesday morning from the 7th of July we’re going to be taking guests behind the scenes at Melton’s historic livestock market and Stockyard.
Melton Mowbray’s markets stretch back to before the Domesday Book, and the Tuesday market received a charter in 1324. On our new tours you’ll hear stories of Melton’s history, and how the markets still play a vital role in the town’s culture.

From jams and fruit vinegars foraged in the Derbyshire Peaks to Melton’s famous pork pies. From traditional Lincolnshire sausages to homemade authentic Asian curries, you’ll hear the stories of the producers and taste their food.
As part of the experience, you’ll also get a unique glimpse into the famous livestock market, seeing the sales in action and learning how this centuries-old tradition continues to support the producers and food culture that make Melton so special.

Discover hidden neighbourhoods on our walking food tours. Taste local dishes on our guided food tours. Learn about local culture and cuisine from expert guides.
