Did you hear Sheila Dillon, The Food Programme presenter and doyenne of food journalists, on Hidden Food Tours' Melton tour on Friday? If you didn't don't worry - you can hear the show on BBC Sounds by following this link.

Needless to say, we're very pleased that Sheila and her producer Robin Markwell came on the tour, and really happy that they immediately got what we try to do - introduce our guests to some great producers, venues and specialist shops, and tell the story of the fantastic foods produced in Melton and Lincoln, and soon other destinations around the area as well (hold tight, we'll be announcing our next destination very shortly...)

It was brilliant to hear our friends and suppliers including Amy at The Melton Cheeseboard, Jon at Feast and The Furious and Nik at March House Farm - and of course Samosa Wallah - getting their passions and expertise across on national media.

With the upcoming development of The Stockyard we're confident that Melton Mowbray's reputation as the Rural Capital Of Food with only grow and strengthen over the next few years. We're really happy to play a part in that, and are confident that our guests will continue to appreciate and enjoy new and interesting developments in the food culture of Melton.
