That's the Observer Food Monthly, for those of you who's life and eating habits don't revolve around supermarket mags, newspaper food sections and foodie blog posts. Yes, just last week we were included in the mag's 'Plan a foodie holiday - 22 things to do in the UK this summer'. Screen grabs below, but the full article is here.
Needless to say, we were very chuffed. One of the things we find we have to do most often when talking to people at food festivals and networking events is actually explain what a walking food tour actually is.
'Yes, we take small groups of people on a walk around a location.'
'And what do you do?'
'Well, we stop off at venues and shops, and sample their produce, while hearing their stories, and tell the history of the food from the area.'
'What, you sit down and eat something at each stop?'
'No, not all of them. Some we just try a few mouthfuls, others we have some food and a drink...'
So anything that we can point to and say 'This is what we do!' is really useful. Plus, of course it's great to be recognised.
So, thanks to the OFM, and thanks to Andy Lynes, a lovely man who's very good restaurant blog is here.
